Meet your new favourite snack. A chewy oat base flavoured with creamy peanut butter. Then it all gets dipped in melted chocolate for a delicious twist on a peanut butter chocolate cup.

Ingredients

  • 400g oats
  • 220g butter
  • 140g brown sugar
  • 140g smooth peanut butter
  • 140g golden syrup
  • 180g dark chocolate, melted
  • flaky sea salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking tin with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, peanut butter, and golden syrup. Stir until fully melted.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the oats and melted mixture. Stir until fully combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the lined baking tray and spread it evenly across the tray. Make sure to press down on the mixture using the back of a spoon.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes. Once done, leave to cool in the fridge before cutting into slices.
  6. Dip half of the sliced flapjack into the melted chocolate and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Transfer to a plate and place in the fridge once again to harden the chocolate.
